First Offence Conviction Consequences
- A minimum fine of $600.00
- A minimum one-year driving prohibition period
- Possible period of probation
Second Offence Conviction Consequences
- A minimum jail sentence of 14 days
- A minimum two-year driving prohibition period (a minimum of three-year suspension if the prior conviction was within the past 10-year period)
- Possible period of probation
Third Offence Conviction Consequences
- A minimum jail sentence of 90 days
- A minimum three-year driving prohibition period to a maximum of a life-time suspension
- Possible period of probation
Fourth Offence or More Conviction Consequences
- A jail sentence in excess of 90 days
- Permanent suspension in the Province of Ontario
- Possible period of probation
