Noriana Odisho is an articling student at the firm. She holds a Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School, where she competed in moots and mock trials, and served as Vice President of Communications for CLF. During her time at law school, Noriana was part of the Criminal Law Intensive Program where she was placed with the Crown’s Office Criminal Law Division, assisting on complex criminal trials involving human trafficking, gang rape, sexual assault, and homicide. She also worked as a Criminal Law Caseworker for Community Legal Services during 1L.
Prior to law school, Noriana graduated with Distinction from Queen’s University, earning an Honours English Literature and Sociology degree. With a history as a public-speech competitor, Noriana was a featured speaker at the Castle Conference during her first-year studies in England at Herstmonceux Castle and actively contributed to the Queen’s Leadership in Politics Club during her undergraduate studies.
Noriana’s passion for advocacy extends across different law schools and universities, as she volunteers her time serving as a judge for mooting competitions and as a panelist for a myriad of events at U of T, TMU, Osgoode, and Western.
Noriana speaks English and Assyrian. Beyond the office, she enjoys mentoring law students across the world, reading 19th-century novels, watching musicals, and travelling. Noriana brings to the firm diverse legal experience, ranging from interning at a Corporate Litigation Firm to her work with the Crown’s Office.
Noriana has strong analytical and creative skills that she seeks to employ in criminal law and to follow her passion to defend those accused of criminal offences, ranging from assault, sexual assault, drug charges and complex cases.
