Vivienne Wu is an Articling Student at the firm. She holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law and brings an unusual technical background to her legal practice. Vivienne graduated with Highest Honors from the Georgia Institute of Technology, earning both a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, alongside international engineering studies at the Technical University of Munich. During her time at U of T, she was deeply involved in the law school community, serving as a researcher for the competitive Immigration, Refugee, and Citizenship Moot and working as a graphic designer for the Rights Review publication.
Prior to embarking on her legal career, Vivienne spent several years as an engineer in the advanced tech and automotive sectors. Her advocacy skills are further grounded by her time volunteering at Downtown Legal Services, where she assisted with client intake and served as second chair in an academic offence hearing. Vivienne speaks English, Chinese, German, Japanese, and French. Outside of the office, she is a licensed sailor, a ballet dancer, and a multi-instrumentalist, as well as an avid figure skating fan.
