Alper Yilmaz is completing his articles with Neuburger & Partners, where he assists in all areas of the firm’s criminal defence practice.
He studied philosophy at Concordia University before earning his J.D. from the University of Ottawa, where he focused on constitutional and administrative law, legal philosophy, and the foundations of the criminal justice system. Alongside his practice, he continues to serve as a Junior Fellow at Section 1, a civic nonprofit and think tank dedicated to defending liberal democracy through education and public discourse.
Alper brings a strong interest in advocacy and in the role of law in safeguarding institutional integrity and civil liberties.
Alper Is fluent in both English and Turkish.
